MBI began Rafsodia today! Over the course of two days, the group will work together to build a raft that they will then be able to sail across the Kinneret!
To start the experience, each kvutza was given a briefing before gaining instruction for raft building. They learned how to construct a raft made from three main supplies: rope, bamboo and large metal barrels that serve as flotation devices. Tomorrow, when the structure of the rafts are complete, they will decorate sails for their rafts!
As the sun set over the banks of the Kinneret, each kvutza processed their first day. They shared what went well, what was challenging, funny stories from the experience, and what they may want to do differently for tomorrow.
