Day 13: Kayaking Down the Jordan River!

Today, the MBI chanichimot headed to Kfar Blum, which is both the first kibbutz founded by Habonim members as well as being a popular site for kayaking down the Jordan River. After kayaking, they ate a delicious pizza oven lunch, before heading to Shfayim, a kibbutz just north of Herziliya.

Unfortunately, most of the photos that were taken today were on just one phone, and that one phone (not belonging to any of the chanichimot, don't worry) just happened to get waterlogged while kayaking. For this reason, I only have some of the photos to post of their rafting adventure right now. However, we do have this montage of video clips that some of the MBI chanichimot posted to their shared Instagram. Warning - it's quite silly!

Tomorrow, the group will start their Hadracha Seminar, focused on building leadership skills to bring back with them to their communities in North America. They'll explore themes such as responsibility and social change, as well as the choice to be madrichimot. They'll be joined by two others in addition to the MBI tzevet for the seminar: Toviah from HDNA's Machaneh Galil, and Jess from Habonim Dror Southern Africa!
